The 2009/10 season brought Manchester United fans one of the most unique designs in the club's history. Nike created a deep black away shirt, broken up by a bold blue "V" on the chest – a nod to United's historic FA Cup victory in 1909 , the club's first major trophy.

On the front there is the iconic logo of the sponsor AIG , which for years was associated with the era of Sir Alex Ferguson and a team full of stars – Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Nemanja Vidić .
