Camp Nou ma ambicje gościć finał Mistrzostw Świata 2030! 🏆

Camp Nou has ambitions to host the 2030 World Cup final! 🏆

This could be a historic moment for FC Barcelona, Catalonia, and all of Spain! Camp Nou—the iconic football stadium and home of FC Barcelona—is officially aspiring to host the 2030 World Cup final. The announcement was made by Elena Fort, the club's vice president of institutional affairs, during the radio program "Què t'hi Jugues!", broadcast on June 26, 2025.

Elena Fort emphasized that the stadium – following a thorough renovation as part of the "Espai Barça" project – meets all the criteria to host the world's most important football match. The renovation work is scheduled to be completed by 2026, and the stadium will be able to accommodate up to 105,000 spectators, making it one of the largest and most modern in Europe.

The nomination of Camp Nou as a potential host for the World Cup final has generated enormous interest in the sports community. Fans and experts point out that the stadium hosted, among others, the 1999 Champions League final and Barcelona's legendary "remontada" against PSG in 2017.

Hosting the World Cup final would bring enormous prestige to the city and the club. It would also be an economic boost for Barcelona, as the final could attract hundreds of thousands of tourists and significant investment. It's also an opportunity to promote Catalan culture on a global scale.

Interestingly, the 2030 World Cup will be unique – for the first time it will be organized on three continents (Europe, South America and Africa), and the main hosts will be Spain, Portugal and Morocco.

The decision on which stadium will host the final is expected to be made in 2026. Competition is fierce, with stadiums in Madrid, Lisbon, and Casablanca also being considered.
